Development of the site would provide significant public benefit, providing new homes in an area with excellent transport links and easy access to nearby employment opportunities and green spaces.

Part of the site is within the Brick Lane and Fournier Street Conservation Area. However, there is little historic character in comparison to the rest of the Conservation Area.

The site is a brownfield site within an opportunity area, which makes it an ideal location for development. These proposals will make the most of the underutilised site and help to revitalise the area.
